Inside our body is an extraordinary network of different systems.
Each system has its own unique function – a function that cannot be replaced or carried out by another system. However, these different systems are interrelated and we need each to be healthy and well nourished to achieve optimal health.
Our main internal systems include the integumentary system (comprising our skin and related tissues), the respiratory system, the digestive system, the circulatory system, the musculoskeletal system, the reproductive system, the endocrine system, the nervous system and the immune system.
To ensure our well being, these systems must work very closely together. Each time our body fights an illness, it will need the combined strengths of all systems to ensure that invaders do not get the upper hand. Hence, we should eat to nourish all of these systems to ensure proper balance and continued health.
